Liberty Needs Glasses

excuse me but lady liberty needs glasses
and so does mrs justice by her side
both the broads r blind as bats
stumbling thru the system
justice bumbed into mutulu and

and liberty was misquoted by the indians
slavery was a learning phase
forgotten with out a verdict
while justice is on a rampage

and cared about the masses

and get 2 pair of glasses

Pac begins to ridicule liberty and justice for their inability to comprehend the chained and unjust reality that is being faced by their own people. 2pac personifies both justice and liberty as women who “need glasses” to see the situation more clearer and take initiative for the wrongdoings of a society. 2pac emphasizes more pressure on “Lady Liberty” as she is one of America’s most recognized statue and a tourist sight that symbolizes freedom from oppression. From the outside perspective it’s a symbol that seems to represent the country well but 2pac, who is a citizen from the inside, gives his strong opinion to deny that notion. 2pac shows more of his dislike as he calls both Justice and Liberty “broads.” This derogatory statement towards the two is no worse then their blurry vision and their lies to promise the eradication of social hardships. Further on, 2pac metaphorically implies that they “R blind as bats” to further note their blindness to such important matters as they are “stumbling thru the system.” If somebody was brave and wise enough to make some changes world would be a better place. If system wasn’t such a bitch innocent people wouldn’t have been treated as those who are bad. Liberty and Justice are blind cause people from the top are unfair and the law isn’t the same for everybody.
