Jada

Jada

u r the omega of my heart
the foundation of my conception of love
when i think of what a black woman should be
its u that i first think of

u will never fully understand
how deeply my heart feels 4 u
i worry that we'll grow apart
and i'll end up losing u

u bring me 2 climax without sex
and u do it all with regal grace
u r my heart in human form
a friend i could never replace.

  1. Tupac Shakur was a poet and also had a tight friendship with Jada Pinkett, who is currently married to Will Smith. Shakur wrote the poem "Jada," which expresses his feelings for her and will analyze Tupac's words to his beloved friend.
Here is the poem in it's original structure:
"u r the omega of my heart
the foundation of my conception of love
when i think of what a black woman should be
its u that i first think of
    u will never fully understand
how deeply my heart feels 4 u
i worry that we'll grow apart
and i'll end up losing u
u bring me 2 climax without sex
and u do it all with regal grace
u r my heart in human form
a friend i could never replace."
In the first stanza, the first line, in my opinion, implies that she is the one he wants to be with her from there on out given that omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet. He wants her to be the "last" person his heart ever falls for though at the same time she seems to be his first, considering the second line states Jada is "the foundation of my conception of love." Most likely, the next two lines could be self explanatory but evil could be a synonym for black. Or perhaps he meant that she has endless depth as a person, as images of black come to mind when thinking of a bottomless pit.
In the second stanza, this concept of a bottomless pit may continue on since he states "how deeply [his] heart" feels for her. In the third and fourth line, it may be that they may end up growing up physically, mentally, or spiritually from each other in addition to the obvious synonym for dislike. Perhaps "losing u" is in reference to losing her from his same frame of mind.
In the third stanza, the reference "2 climax" may mean that he either is brought to a state of bliss because of her or that she brings two climaxes of some form outside of sex. Or maybe just the mere thought of her makes him feel sexually stimulated without actually having sexual intercourse. In the second line, regal is another word classy or splendid, meaning that she makes him feel that way in such a lovely fashion. In the next line,he may be implying that he is not of human form and that she is his heart in human form if it is not the meaning that it appears to be on the surface. The last line seems self explanatory and if thought about deep enough we should all remember that none of us are replaceable.
Additionally, a major thing to notice is the informality in which he writes the poem. There is no capitalization or punctuation and "words" such as u, r, 2 and 4 are present. Perhaps it's a way of relating to her through slang and going against what the standard is. Perhaps it implies that he is trying to relate to her in a rebellious way. Or maybe there are double entendres and inside references they and only they would get. As stated above, perhaps in the first line of the final stanza he's stating that she brings him "2 [different climaxes]"
All in all, Tupac showed that he had a passion for Jada Pinkett and tried his hardest to mesmerize her as best as she could in the easiest way way he could relate to her.
